Drag left or right to slide your atajador along the steer. Keep the solid white marker on the green 4 band (the hindquarters) at the moment the steer reaches the green flag.

Each tap brings your arreador onto the steer's flank and pushes the steer back to the padded wall (the quincha). If the Off the wall gauge fills up, the atajada won't count, and if the steer breaks away the run is lost.

Your horse got past the steer's head and cut in front of it. That is a touch on the wrong side and costs two points. Aim a little inside the green band to leave room for sudden brakes.

Finish on the podium (1st to 3rd) in the next season rodeo. After the Champions de Chile final in Rancagua a new, harder season starts.

The second half of a Chilean rodeo. One huaso and one horse, no steer: you ride five figures inside a chalked cancha and a jury marks each one out of seven. Open it from the medialuna screen or from the rulebook.

Drag and the horse follows your finger with a real criollo's weight, so ask for the turn before you need it. Keep the horse on the chalk line: the meter at the bottom shows how far off you are, and if you stay off it for about a second the figure is lost. Each figure also has its own clock.

The sliding stop has to end inside the dashed box. Lift your finger before the box so the horse coasts in and stands still for a moment; if it runs past the far edge, the figure is lost.

Your atajador. Its burst, stamina and current condition, plus the espuelas you have unlocked, decide how quickly it answers the rein — and a rein-work card tires it just like a rodeo.

Condition drops after each rodeo and recovers about 12% per hour. Rotate horses from your stable, or wait a few hours.

Outfits unlock with career buenos, the total of your positive points across all rodeos. Better spurs also make your atajador respond faster.

Turn on Settings → Reminders in the app and allow notifications when iOS asks. If you declined earlier, enable notifications for Medialuna in the iOS Settings app.

The app reads a small settings file from our server the first time it starts, and it cannot get through. Check your connection, turn off any VPN or content blocker, and tap Knock again. Once that file has been read it is kept on the device and the app does not ask for it a second time.

Only on that first launch, and when a web page such as this one is opened in the app. Rodeos, rein-work cards, your stable and everything else run entirely offline.

Allow camera access for Medialuna in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. You can also choose a photo from your library instead.

Open Settings in the app and tap Reset progress. This erases all local data. Your progress is stored only on your device and is not synced between devices.
